From Everything.Sucks

Wingate Packaging is a paper distributor company in Washington Court House, Ohio.

A former employee shared the experience of working there, "Wingate Packaging's pay is very low and has a stressful work environment. Press Operator (Former Employee) says

"10 hour work days M-Th. Almost every week you are notified on THURSDAY that you have a MANDATORY shift the next day (Fri) and sometimes even Sat. No room for advancement. Outdated equipment & technology making it IMPOSSIBLE to meet goal requirements. Senior Leadership practices goals & priorities that represent an "Employees are Expendable" culture."

Lead Pressman (Current Employee) says

"Very stressful place to work. They do not keep there equipment in good working order and then management holds employee's accountable for poor quality, waste and downtime. Employee's are afraid of being yelled at by management. Cons: They do not have a payroll sevice so you dont always get your pay stub on consistent basis."

Slave (Current Employee) says

"Micromanagement by the parent company Sugar Creek is done through spineless, no-talent upper management. Croneyism is rampant, and upper management promotes their unqualified relatives. Their are no standards to pay, or production practices. Cons: Too many to mention..."

Warehouse/data entry (Former Employee) says

"very low pay and stressful environment. Employees there do not get treated with respect and are not appreciated. You are working almost 10 hour days and are not paid the amount that should be fare based on what you do on a daily basis. Cons: management sucks"

N/A (Former Employee) says

"Start you off with low pay and a probation period. No pay raise if you meet or exceed expectations for the year. High stress because they're more interested in production instead of employee satisfaction. No annual performance reviews and they only track production numbers. Management seems like they have no idea what they're doing. They make horrible decisions. Three paid days off and no sick time and if you stay for one year you finally get your vacation time which they say is 7 days paid but it only counts the days you would work so it's more like 5 days off and they can call you in the other couple days. Supervisors don't listen to employees and only do what's "best for the company." This is definitely not the place to work at. Cons: Low Pay"

Plate Mounting (Current Employee) says

"Come in expecting for today to be the day when you will get to do the job promised or at least hired for. Only to find you are doing a different job every day just to fill in. Co Workers feel the same still waiting after a year or more just to be non temp workers and utilize their qualifications."

Press Operator (Current Employee) says

"My day starts with a hour and 15 minute drive to work. once there at 7 am I fire up my press and wait for instructions on what im going to be doing. after a hour or so plaits will arrive and ink will be filled by other employees. At 9 am my supervisor arrives and approves what im doing for the day and I run my numbers till 4:45. the last 15 minutes of my day we have a meeting about the days production and safety accomplishments. Cons: long drive to get there"
